Program Structure and Progression
The guideline below is designed to empower our members through a structured progression, from registration to certification, with a focus on enhancing GPT literacy and skills. OpenDH is structured to assist members at each stage of their journey, offering support in research, publication, and career development opportunities.
Registration:
New members begin their journey with OpenDH by registering and gaining initial access to our resources, including an introduction to GPT technology and its applications in research and development.
Junior to Senior OpenDH Member (1-month GPT seat usage):
After registration, members will have one month to familiarize themselves with GPT technologies, including hands-on exercises and training sessions. They MUST complete a mini-scoping review (as Wave1) according to the attached list of topics and instructions.
Senior to OpenDH Café Coach (3-month GPT seat usage):
Upon successfully completing the first month and mini-review, members will progress to become OpenDH Café Coaches. In this phase, they will have three months of GPT seat usage, allowing for deeper engagement with GPT technologies. Coaches will guide junior members, sharing knowledge and experiences, and contributing to a collaborative learning environment.
Coach to OpenDH Certification (6-month GPT seat usage):
The final phase of the program involves a six-month period where coaches work towards obtaining their OpenDH Certification. This phase focuses on advanced applications of GPT, including research and publication projects. Coaches will develop expertise and leadership skills, preparing them for professional opportunities.
Additonal Support and Opportunities:
OpenDH is committed to supporting its members throughout their journey. We will provide guidance on research projects, offer advice on publication strategies, and facilitate career development workshops. Additionally, we aim to connect our members with a diverse group of employers and internship programs, recommending candidates based on their GPT literacy and skills.
